How to make language version yourself?

If the version you need isn't yet available, you can make it yourself easily by using common text editor. Just go to the Palabra installation directory (usually C:\Program Files\Palabra) and go to lang subdirectory. Select one existing language version (e.g. palabra.pl.lang) which will be a basis for your translation and open it in any text editor supporting Unicode.

Here goes an excerpt from palabra.pl.lang file:

Explanations

• Comments begins after ";" character
• Text of each UI element is described by pair <UI control name> = <type>:<text>
  Where only one type is currently allowed - "str" which means Unicode text.
• Controls in some windows (e.g. Configuration, Lesson Editor) can be equipped with tooltip help.
  To define a help text, the next line have to started with "?=" charactrs followed by context help itself.
• Windows control names are dots separated and usually the first element stands for form (window) name,
  the second one stands for control name itself and the third one is a property name to be set (usually Text).
  Note the prefix of control name which describes type of the form control.
  
  There are following prefixes used:

  gbox	Group box
  lb	Label
  btn	Button
  chk	Check button
  mi	Menu item
  rbtn	Radio button
  tsi	Tool strip menu item (like Menu item)

• If an UI element name consists of two elemets only then it refers to a form name (caption).
• Some items in the translation file are additionally commented

After finishing the work a translation file have to be stored under palabra.<language_prefix>.lang name, where <language_prefix> is an abbreviated language name. List of all availabe languages is attached to the .NET Framework System.Globalization.CultureInfo class help and can be reached here.
A new translation file have to be placed in the same directory as rest of .lang files. Palabra has to be restarted in order to be able to set a newly translated user interface.
It is strongly adviced to check if everything was correctly translated and if the translation strings are not too long.
