Hello! I live in Poznan, Poland, a city with a long academic tradition and one of important centers
of European Business.
In 1997 I graduated Computer Science on Technical University of Poznan with honors and I began
work in a project commissioned by Siemens which focused on creating a GUI for
K1205/K1297 protocol tester.
During that period I have gained commercial experience in software design, development and testing.
The project was later taken over by Tektronix.
In the meantime, at the beginning of 2001 I have begun developing AsfCut and I have established
Radioactive Pages web site. As the time go I have added
two more tools: SubCreator and BinVote. The last tool for processing ASF files named AsfBin has replaced
the old AsfCut.
Later on I have moved to grid projects conducted by Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.
Till 2004 I was involved as an R&D specialist in a GridLab project.
In 2005 I was participating in an InteliGrid project.
In the fall of 2005 I moved back to work that is closer to my interests, namely, the work connected
with multimedia processing and streaming over the Internet. The project I am now involved in is
the Polish Interactive Television (www.itvp.pl). Its goal is to
deliver live broadcasts and archived content to thousands of users in Poland and Europe. My job
is to extend standard features of Windows Media Server by implementing various plug-ins like for
example a live time shifting plug-in.
I cannot forget also about my oldest hobby, electronics. Since being 9 y/o I was soldering various
circuits, starting from the simples generators, though radios, simple amplifiers, ending on a
hi-end dual mono power amplifier.
I should rather not use the word "ending", however lately I have less and less time to foster
this very interesting hobby. Instead I am starting to prefer more relaxing activities like
oil-painting or cycling.
Recently a topic of acoustic room treatment has came to my attention
as this is probably the most efficient way to drastically improve the quality of hearing in a room,
after buying better speakers of course.
